Capcom did a stand up job with the Level design, graphics, AI etc.
The person in charge of the controls should have quite honestly been given a smack.
Also whoever it was who decided the game shouldn't be multilayer and decided to leave out any sort of "God Mode" or Infinite Ammo, is probably on the same level with somebody who spoons ice cream into a toaster.
Dead Rising could have been so so so so Great, the lack of major features and to be honest, easy to implement features in this day and age, just made the game fall down on so many levels.
I actually think they made the perfect game, with easier controls (Where you don't have to stop in order to shoot, you aren't blasted on your ass every time you get shot), Multilayer, Infinite mode with all weapons on your person with infinite ammo.
When they had made this perfect game, they most likely had a board meeting to discuss how they could make the game more irritating.
It just angers me because they were so close. I hardly play on it now. Lost its charm after 10 minutes when you started to run out of ammo in such a glorious shooting range.
Its the same with Star Wars:The force "
Unleashed". I've quite honestly seen more fury unleashed when I open a tin of spaghetti hoops. Lucas Arts had 2 amazing new technologies at their disposal. The result being a poorly scripted bath of despair when you send a barrel flying God knows where, instead of a storm trooper.
If you're the sort of person who enjoys the mindless button bashing in a linear snooze fest of conveniently placed objects, Then the forced unleashed is for you.
I was quite expecting to drool over the spectacular use of DMM and Natural motion. Smashing the rare piece of glass or blasting through the 100th door every centimeter isn't my idea of fun.
