At least once a year I overhear that there has been talks with big BBC executives concerning a Red Dwarf movie: And every year, nothing. Does anyone know (with hard evidence), if there is or will ever be a Red Dwarf movie…

Oh and if you have no idea just post your favourite Red Dwarf one liner, alright "smeg heads"

I don't believe there will be a Red Dwarf movie EVER. If it's over 10 years old, it ain't gonna be reborn well (just like star wars).

Aw! Crap, I thought as much. Well it's not like the British film industry isn’t already overflowing with well scripted comical sc-fi’s, (note hint of sarcasm), don't get me started about the hitchhikers guide remake.

Don't worry BBC Worldwide are agreeing to do a 1 off special filming in October and the digital channel Dave might do 4 30 min episodes for the celebration of 10 years since it finished.

What the hell? If you follow Benjamin's link, the BBC and BFC rejected the film because it was funny! WTFH?!?!

With ADAM, you could no longer domesticate a child than a Boa Constrictor.

Quote: "Reasons given for the rejections were that while the script was considered to be funny, it was not what they were looking for at the moment and that the script was deemed "too commercial.""

Actually it looks like it was rejected because they thought it was "too commercial."

90% of statistics are completely inaccurate.

Are you kidding me? This from the same commercial drowns who will bend over backwards to fund the next (weekly) adventures of 007.
