I don't think this kind of phobic would like to view this:

Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia- Fear of long words.

Even though I have some of these:

Hypsiphobia- Fear of height.
Molluscaphobia - Fear of molluscs.
Ligyrophobia- Fear of loud noises.

On a website I read of a phobia that was "the fear of large bodies of water because there may be shopping carts down there". No idea if it is real or not though.

ionstream,

I like that

I've also got a slight bit of pyrophobia - fear of fire in real life, not games.

I too am a pyromaniac. Not so much now, but in the earlier days, I lit just about everything possible on fire. My friend likes to make napalm. He's crazy though, but that's where the fun is. Jenkins, we should come over to First Company Veteran's house some day and play.

Diggsy,

I could've guessed what those unsaid phobias were!

Benjamin, why do you always attempt to bring a thread down?

I hope you have some evidence for such a claim.

I'm not trying to bring the thread down, but most of these words I can't find on dictionary.com. Although yes, it is a completely useless thread like most of the threads here on Dork Culture.

Ben's our resident sarcastic cat (or if you prefer puns, a sour-puss), I don't think he attempts to bring threads down, but delivers his points in an witty way or with as few words possible.

I get a sense of Benjaminaphobia? Given the chance I'd hug the guy, seriously. He might pull out his axe, chop me up into little pieces and feed me to Grandma, but I like a challenge.

I think Benjamin's funny most of the time. But ya, I think a lot of these phobias were just made up by people to be funny and interesting.

it's just a bunch of pre-fixes that have a definition with "-phobia" tied to the end... they're not "REAL" words, like Ben was saying, but they have meaning if you divide the word up.

A phobia means an irrational fear, which makes means pyrophobia doesn't make sense, its perfectly rational to be afraid of fire, as it can harm you.

Its like fear of flying, that is a phobia, because its not rational, flying isn't necessarily a bad thing. Fear of crashing however, is a perfectly normal fear.

Yeah, but a rational fear can turn into a phobia if it goes to far.

I do honestly feel that besides Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia, Hellenologophobia and the Anatidaephobia image, there hasn't been posted anything funny here.

And don't mind Benjamin, Benjamin has a severe case of nonamusingnoobusphobia.

I smell a revolution against Benjamin. Considering I own France and Benjamin lives in France, (therefore I own Benjamin), I will not have anybody disrespecting my posessions without my permission.

In other words, Benjamin is one of the groovy dudes of the forum and though his comments sharp needn't be taken in an offended light - his dryness can be amusing, yet still stand a point (that this thread, like others really don't have a point, which not so long ago mods were stamping down on pointless threads to clean up the forums a bit)

However I must clear something up.

I used that term to parody its current name that was chosen in an effort to reduce useless threads and crap in general by classifying this area as a 'geek' area, for geek topics (you know, stuff that is interesting to read).

Anyways, yeah I think Benjamin is right almost all the time, and most of the time he's quite funny.

So, we've all come to the occlusion that Benjamin is a god, now what was the topic again?
