I have just started looking at this again after several months work earlier in the year.

I could actually do with some help on it, as my modelling skills leave a lot to be desired, as do my 2D artwork abilities

Some screens:

Looking nice! IGN recently had an article about "I Robot", and it looked like it could give you a headache quite easily.
Anyway, downloading...

[Edit]
Wow, really nice work, no headache yet!
Although, I honestly have no idea what I'm supposed to do in the maze part (other than colouring the blocks)? Simple but nice looking effect when the eye blocks the sun!
Keep it up!

Thx for the comments
Well, the eye will normally shoot you if it's open when you jump (it's off for now).
Also, things will fly into you / chase you eventually.

Looks impressive! The background nebulae look stunning (Hubble telescope pictures?) and I like your lens flare effects.

Personally, I like them as they are, although they are perhaps a little too colourful. The asteroid in your second screenie looks great though.

Downloading now, will post back when I've had a chance to play the demo

[Edit]
Been playing it for a while now, and I think it's brilliant. Cancel what I said about the models being too colourful, having seen them in action I think they're great.

One or two things puzzle me a little, though. There's a little blue cylinder that the robot/player can step inside, but I can't quite figure out what it does. ALso, in the space flight section there doesn't seem to be any purpose (aside from gathering points) and why do these letters from the word "I Robot" appear for you to blow to pieces?

All in all, an enjoyable little game - I could play it for ages (actually, I have been ). And I really like that lens flare!

Thx.

The basic models are the ones from the actual original arcade game - I have been using them as placeholders, while I try and get something better done..
The asteroid is the only one I`m happy with - although not realistic, it's quite pleasing to look at and definately in the right style for the game (at least what I`m aiming for)
The cylinder will be a level transporter (as per the original game) and you can see that it's only operational for a few seconds at the start.
The space flight part is how the player gets from level to level, and the letters appearing are part of how you would get an extra life.

The lens flare sadly, is not mine but based on a tutorial, although I`ve added some extra stuff to it and have got shadows and occlusion
working with it, it looks great.
There's still lots more work to be done however - and I was rather hoping I could get a good modeller and 2D artist interested in assisting, although it does seem taboo to ask for team assistance on here.

Not for what you've done so far, it's only if people team request without having done any actual work themselves.

I`m bumping this thread to see if anyone wants to help out with the modelling. I`m OK for 2D artwork and textures now, just need a modeller on board.

thx

Nice looking game. Not sure what's going on with the camera in the space part. Seems high res and nice effects and stuff, and still runs plenty fast enough. Good stuff.

I hope you find someone to help, although you seem to be doing a good job anyhow.

Thanks.
Well, I`ve decided to carry on myself and force myself to get better at modelling

Maybe when there's a bit more hapenning, then someone might get interested!?

The camera in the space part - I`ve made a small change in the latest demo version, but it's supposed to do that (based on the original game) you mean the banking when you move left & right? However, I`ve now capped off the left/right on the movement, so it won't allow you to go out of bounds.
