So I got the game because I like that type of game and it sounded like most people who played it really liked it. However when I play it the screen every so often like flashes black like its switching between programs. I don't know if it's supposed to do this but its kinda annoying. Has anyone else found this? I looked in the support forums but I can't find a solution.

Other than that the game runs perfectly fine.

I find that Cobian Backup does this alongside other software. Have you got anything that might be giving you notifications?

nope I turn off everything except Norton while I play, it didn't give me any Norton popup though, even when it synchronized with the server.
