Newcomers DBPro Corner / object transparent problem

Hi, im new to 3d game creating. When i import a object from maya, and i load it into the game, it does this wierd one sided transparent thing, shown on the picture below. Im thinking its something to do with the texture, but i dont know.

If the image does not show up, ill eplain it. It does not show the outside, it only shows the inside,whatever is facing me goes transparent but i can still see the other side, but inside of the other side.

The model is inverted. I don't use Maya, so I can't tell you how to do it, but there should be a tool or an export setting that will let you either invert or flip the normals.

Perhaps you can scale the object to a negative value?

i dont use maya but can you please show us an screen shoot of your settings in maya for exporting direct x models
and as they typed before the model is inside out or also called inverted
