Not sure how many of you know about this game, although it's fairly hard not to if you're even remotely into games; particularly MMOs
Most Games Workshop titles tbh have been hit'n'miss over the years, mostly missing. Dawn of War is the last GW License game I thought was actually worthy of being licensed.
Now that Warhammer Online is here though; question is does this game live up to the hype and the heritage of the license.. or is it yet another game that basically is trying to sell because it's Warhammer-based.
I've personally been looking quite forward to this since it's inception almost 5years ago now, with only words here'n'there about it and it's progress. The past year since it's resurfacing the gaming world has really exploded with information and such. So I was happy as pie when it arrived last week!
To my surprise, this game despite it's baffling performance requirements... is actually pretty bloody good. It's a good laugh to play either on your own doing the Solo Quests, with random others people in Scenarios, Public Quests and Realm vs Realm; or going it with a small party, warband or as an entire guild.
There some nice humor in the game, with quite a nice mission system especially for a newly released MMO.
I'd say if WoW is starting to bore some of you, WAR is definately worth checking out. Atleast there's a bloody decent storyline too
Anywho, if any of you are on the European servers (aparently us Brits aren't allowed to mix with the Americans and Aussies) then let me know. Can't remember the 2 Servers I'm active on, but one is quite high pop and the other is low pop. Might be a laugh to warband or beat on some of you in RvR
