Hey,

I've got to do a 30 second rotoscoped animation for one of my classes, and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas.

-We can either record some footage ourselves or find it on the internet
-We need to combine footage from two different 'sources' - which means two different point of view, or two different videos from the internet
-There needs to be some sense of plot
-NO lightsabers

So, any thoughts? If no one has any, I'll probably just do something with Portal. (I was also thinking of possibly doing something like the iPod commercials)

Thanks.

How about a World of Warcraft dance off!?

Like get some footage of some alliance characters meeting some horde characters then each one could do their dance. Add in some cheesy club music and some funny ending and your onto a winner .

Thanks, but I would rather avoid doing anything WoW related

Do something meaningful e.g, someone in trouble, someone who looks like they might cause trouble, and finally the merging of the two, where one helps out the other.

You can act all that out with a couple of mates, with a license to overact.

Do you have to combine the two videos together through matte painting? If so, you could make a quick haunted house movie and add in creepy clouds and lightning...

That guy with no idea of what to say here. Except that he is a geek, and likes cheese. And pickles. But mostly cheese.

You could combine two very different types of footage: you could record some footage from a Metal Gear Solid game, then have a sideplot about Mario. Or something.

You didn't say it had to have a *meaningful* plot.

Or if you'd rather do something meaningful, maybe have the two points of view as hero and villain - maybe the villain is a fanatic or a heartless businessman or a misguided general and the hero is trying to stop him from doing something crazy and bad. Or something.

My thoughts need structure...
