So I was carrying my 360 crap into the other room today when my friend decided to use this opportunity to jump out and startle me (he had yet to get me back). I slipped and dropped my 360 hard drive onto the hard floor. I then hurriedly set my 360 back up and plugged the hard drive in, just to find that it is giving me some crazy error.

Is there a way to recover data?

Is there a way to recover my achievements? I figured they would be synced with some server at Microsoft whenever I sign into Xbox Live.

Oh, I'm very sorry about that, and I feel very sorry for you. What a nice friend.

Yeah, I'd think so too. I would not care, as I don't give a damn about achievements, but try signing in at xbox.com, and see if they show up.

I don't think so.

Those have nothing whatsoever to do with your Hard Drive, they are linked to your gamertag.

Well Microsoft could probably do it but it would cost you. however any Hard Drive recover place could do it because it is just a normal Hard Drive.

You will be dearly missed.
