Talking many, many years ago, I had a demo or a freeware game on a magazine disc. It might have been PC Gamer. It was mostly multiplayer-orientated, but had a free roam single player too. When the game started up, it would auto-generate a small map out of cubes, using an asteroid texture and a transparent blue crystal texture. It was a first person shooter. You had one weapon; one fire button would clear blocks and the other would make the blocks multiply - if you shot a face, another block would appear on that face. There might have been gravity, but I can't remember. It was set in space. One of the game's notable features was that is was only 5Mb. Can you kind people please cure my nostalgia?
