Looks like a cross between a Viper and an Elise. About the same specs on speed and power as the Tesla, similar design (as Lotus actually designed both cars), but the main difference is Chrysler has designed the car to be mass-produced. That means it will likely cost way less than a Tesla. I wouldn't be surprised if we saw it around $50k (tesla around $100k)

Something's wrong with the link, bad gateway? I'm interested in seeing this now, hehe. I'm fearful about Chrysler making it though, they get a cool car, design it for mass production, and then stop selling it a year later (see "PT Prowler"). I'm glad though to see high performance electric cars coming of age, it's about time! These and Hydrogen cars have always perked my interest, if they can make these affordable enough to compete with standard gasoline-powered cars they'll literally make the world a better place. Though then we'll see Exxon Mobil turn into an electric company, lol.

Good that there has been a recent boom in the development of electric cars in the past few years, whether it's for hydrogen fuel cell cars or just plain electric cars like the tesla, it's important to put research into the technology seeing as it will be the future. I predict that a hydrogen combustion car will hit mass production in not too long, then a hydrogen fuel cell car, then finally we will all be driving electric cars powered off wireless energy. Just imagine, never having to fill/recharge your car again.

Wireless energy? Methinksnot. Cancer springs to mind.

Should I continue coding or focus on my art? Vote here:

Chrysler actually started making hybrids back in the early 90s but stopped because nobody was buying them.

Matt, not sure why the site won't work but here's another page:

I found this interesting, the GM EV1 apparently set the record for fastest production electric car in 1994 at 183mph.
