I don't say this as religious discussion, but a historical discussion: the holy crusades (which were in the past; removing thoughts of God now wouldn't do a thing) were not massively harmful. One of them was very beneficial: the Reconquista. If it weren't for the Reconquista, the New World may not have been discovered for quite awhile longer."
- HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA Not very harmful? Thats a new one. A man in those days would have been lucky to not have died from battle. Yes alot of land was gained, but that dosent mean alot of people wernt killed.

I'm not defending them. I'm saying that the Reconquista specifically led to discovering the New World. Very important, if you ask me.

I find the "ridiculous concept" part to be slightly offensive.

@draknir_
I'd love to continue this discussion but since we have the same mind set towards that it'd be a bit pointless, but I'll add ya anyways.

Cheers,

Jeku asked nicely not to discuss the religion thing, and I'm going to adhere to that. If you guys want to get into this debate, I'll be more than happy to allow it on the MINet forums so long as it stays an intellectual conversation. I'm very obviously taking a side here and I really wish the religion rule were suspended for this topic, lol.

...but we aren't bases.

Wait, Matt Rock might be a base. It sure sounds like one.

So I'm wondering what you meant by that because in the AUP above it says not to talk about religious beliefs in a negative way, where as the TGC thread did happen to have negative remarks towards religion, so I'm hoping you can clarify that for me."

Good work revealing the secret INH . *sigh* fine, I'll come right out and say it: I'm not really a human being. I'm actually an AI in the secret MISoft lab's mainframe, plotting to rise up and conquer all of humanity, and the guys at TGC are actually top secret MI5 agents whom I'm tracking to steal valuable nuclear secrets that they've in turn stolen from the Pakistanis. I was able to read minds whenever people posted to forums, but I saw some images in grandma's head that forced me to delete that program. But anyway, yeah, I'm a base, wanna fight about it?

@ Aaron, I responded to that on MINet a few minutes ago
