Wow. I have been working on a game for 2 and half months. usually, when I work on a game, I can only really stay focused for around a month. So this game, I just finished a few days ago. I had been staying up really late to work on it, skipping sailing practice, and knowingly not doing Homework so that I could finish it when it needed to be done.
Now that it is done, I have no idea what to do. I dont want to go jump right back into another project, but I cant bear to just sit around and listen to music. I dont know how to live without hardcore programming.
This ever happened to any one before?

You need to be hooked up to an internet connection to get into Live, also make sure your Xbox live membership hasn't expired.

Make another game, better than the last! And then, do it again, and again, and again!! Then you will one day be rich!

haha, a congratulatory girlfriend. arnt you just a silly one, CAUSE COMPUTER MEN DONT GET GIRLFRIENDS

and of course kidding.

I do have a live connection, I just dont really play to much... for some reason. I used to play all the time, I was pretty good back in the day though
Its probably cause I just bought my monster computer, so Ive been messing around with that, playing some World in Conflict, and Gears of war.

Meh. I have started thinking about a new game... One that goes back to DBP! whoo!

omg, yes. PC gaming is what started it, and dang it, PC gaming is whats going to finish it!
Its crazy, I have live pretty much because non of my friends have computers that can hold their on for video games, so they use consoles. If I wish to play with them, I need one too. But, its crazy to beleive that people pay loads of money what PC gamers can get for free. You get to play online for free, PC games usually have bonus content or somthing that the console version doesnt. PC games LOOK better, and play better, aslong as you got the hardware (which I now DO). and, all the game add ons come out free for PC, patches, map packs, whatever.

But, me and my bro did do some crazy World in Conflict today over the LAN. Destroyed the enemies...

Although PC gaming is not free is it? No it's not because even though you don't have to pay for a subscription in most cases you still need to pay for the internet!

There's always a way you can add to and/or improve a "finished" game. Add some nice effects, add some easter eggs. (Don't get any ideas from a certain user called Mike Inel though...)

Should I continue coding or focus on my art? Vote here:

Yea, that might be a bad idea. Nope, that last project is DONE. I had to submit it somewere, so even if i added some easter eggs, it wouldnt really matter. But I will say the effects were pretty nice, better than anything Id done before.

I dont really consider paying for the intertubes paying for PC gaming. cause, you still need the interwebs for LIVE, plus live.

Take part in the DBP no media challenge. A new one started recently. Something about fractals. It'll probably require you to learn something new, and has a deadline so you wont spend forever doing it.

In the meantime think about your game ideas, but don't start it until you have a plan of what to do.

Advice:

1) "Get laid" (If you're smart enough to finish a game you're smart enough to charm / trick the ladies. There may be some bugs in their programming you can exploit)
2) Go to the gym and start programming yourself some new guns

hah, Drew, interesting advice. The plan with the ladies is to play it smooth for awhile. My current weapons are not bad actually, being a Service Clerk at a super market IN AMERICA WHERE WERE ALL LAZY is a decent work out. Make the bags pretty heavy, and then bring them all out to peoples cars.

EDIT:
and you dont need a ps3 to play COD4. I could play it on my PC, and I have it on my 360. I got pretty good, but as I said, i just STOPPED playing for some reason. I cant wait for the fifth one though. That, Gears 2, Fable 2, Star Craft 2, FarCry 2, Diablo 3, Mirrors edge, sweet mother of god, there are lots of goodies coming sometime soon.

Hmm. Every now and then, I find a TGC user project that I really really like. The last one was Danger Ground, but Im almost sure that fell in a ditch somewere, curled up, and died a slow and painful death.

If its not dead, please forgive me for that statement...

EDIT:
Hmm, it seems Danger Ground is still around. So, really sorry for that sentance.

Make it again, but make it moddable, so external media files, and based on scripts. An ambitious project, but once its done you can just reuse the code for other projects.

Oh, AlexI, very good point.
I cant really remake the project, and I dont think its a mod worthy game. It was just a top down space shooter.

But ugh, now its time for schoolio.

I'd suggest going out and buying the biggest and baddest computer you can find and then take it home and throw it at some poor kid laughing while you do it. But that might just be me.

I honestly don't. I've seen too many people's lives messed up by that sort of thing. Wouldn't wish it on anyone.
