Great newsletter. Someone who is going to the convention should ask for MULTIPLE RENDER TARGETS in update 7. This would GREATLY increace the speed at which most shaders are rendered, creating a lot less gap in performance between dbp and something like source.

@flickenmaste - Do you have to bump threads with smilies? I've seen you do it at least half a dozen times recently.

About the newsletter, one thing I've noticed is the announcement of DarkDGK.NET as if it's a new product. Is there something I'm missing or is it being rebranded?

Rebranded? Why do you think that?

I think they made the announcement that way because of the anxious people on the DarkGDK forum.

The only difference in the .NET version is the built-in OOP classes, compared to DBPro and DarkGDK (C++), which is kind of a big change (as people have no need to worry about tracking IDs and VS's intelisense helps a lot remembering us the methods from a specific object), although you can still use it like DBPro, calling methods and specifying IDs.

But I thought Dark GDK.NET was already released years ago? I'm pretty sure I bought it

Oh, it's because it hasn't been available for almost an year now, only to those who already bought it before DarkGDK was released for free.

This was because of TGC and MS agreement to distribute it for free, so Apex has been making it better and easier to use to try to attract more people to use it.

I'd be surprised if they actually said something about it.

I have a better idea....I'll forget about it now, wait ten years, and then see if I know what it means.
