Id love to carry this on but its mean .

GamerDude, I was just pulling your leg. I was trying to tell you that you're definitely not ready to try something that complicated, and theres absolutely no need for you to have a name for a company, first and foremost because you dont have a company, but also because you dont need a company yet either. Really, we've all seen it time and time again, a newbie comes onto the forums with some wacked out company name like "SICK! Games" or "Iwanamakeagame Soft" thinking that as long as they have a company, people will accept them or take them more seriously, when in reality it just makes people (us more experienced oldbies at least) laugh.

You need to back up, forget about a company, start learning about what you're doing, experimenting, making smaller mini games, and just expanding your skills.

Sorry but you really weren't catching on . I figured the email would have been obvious, I was telling you to walk before you run, and get a reality check .

Anyways, goodluck, just drop the whole company idea and you'll be taken at least a little seriously around here.

Call it My First Game 7 or Crazy Bastards!

I've finished my game called "Blanc"; it's a philosophical and artistic game that challenges the way we think about computer games and ourselves. Here's the full code:

Holy crap Obese, that was awesome! The BEST game I have EVER played on a PC!! You should totally take over EA games and re-write every crappy game they made (especially the Harry Potter games 4-5, please. 2D is perfectly acceptable).

Overall, that really is a great game! [sarcasm/]

The old ones were great. I haven't played the new ones, but they seemed to have gone to crap. :/

This thread was so mean, but I can't help but let out a good long lawl when I read it. This is where GamerDude's mom comes on and tells you all that he commited suicide and it's all your fault. Good game EVERYONE.

I'm glad I didn't bet 5 dollars though. Geeesh. Talk about something flying over someone's head.

What's sad is I love Harry Potter, especially the second book/movie/game. And (was it in '05? YIKES!!) when they announced Harry Potter And the Goblet of Fire for DS/PC/GameCube/Xbox I was excited. And then...I played it. It sucked. I still have yet to play the fifth one, but every review I've read says while it is better than the fourth game, it's just too big and the story doesn't flow as smoothly as it should.

They've already announced the sixth game as well, due out sometime next year (Which means it'll probably be for DSi).

You say that like you won't be able to play it with a regular DS.

Company Name: The Nameless Game Factory

Clever eh? the absence of a name gives you your name.

Game names can be like "Anonymous Joe and the Unknown Mission", "The Adventures of Anonymous Jane", "Secrets of an Anonymous Agent"..

LoL, you can have lots of fun taking this route..

Sorry, I couldn't resist, but it's a really cool idea.

Cheers!

Hehe, that's pretty cool, Nameless Game Factory or NGF... could work. Underneath the obvious, this is actually a good idea. Crytek has its Cry games (minus Farcry 2), so you could follow the same theme as previewed above, seriousally.

Why don't you call your game "A Game" and then name your company "Some random people", that would create such funny moments as "The release date of A game by Some random people is now set"!

Actually, when you said A Game, I thought of, "Bring your A game." It's an expression that means, bring your best.

lol, if fpsc could have bump map height, i would intergrade terrain into it! (using bump mapping, for 1 poly) it would look like far cry. As long as i can place the vegitation well.

That is when i get back into fpsc!

thx

Um, no, it would not look like Far Cry, when you're in first person perspective it doesn't show the terrain from straightly above remember? It'll be obvious that it's a flat plane.
