I am using FPSC1.09.
I put a grass entity and set it to dynamic with physics off and I test the game. I can walk into the grass but when I shoot the bullet mark appears on the grass. How could I make the bullet go through the grass?

Set the grass model's material in the FPE file to something that won't leave a bullet mark. Or, you could open up one of the bullet decals in photoshop and paint over it. The theory is there.

Turn the collision off on the grass?

I set the grass entity start to appearcoloff.fpi so should it be in dynamic, static and/or with physics?

Hmmmmmmmm....

Usually when I want an entity to do anything special... I set it to dynamic.

I think static entities are loaded into their place, immobile, and don't execute any scripts.

I set it to dynamic and its still not working.
I tested with physics on/off and always active/not.

Do what Opposing force said. Set the material index in the entities FPE file to 0.

Best.

I think what he's looking for is to have the bullet effect objects on the other side of grass model that he shoots through.

Yes thank you Plystire for explaining it to them. I downgraded to 1.08 for the purpose of mods. There should be a way to do it...

Well... I know it annoys *me* when my METAL BULLETS travelling faster than the speed of sound are foiled by a small bush with flimsy branches.

I'll definitally be putting the ability in for this in Ply's Mod. Perhaps as an added bonus to turning the entity's collision off.

It's coming to me now. He's talking about tall grass and I'm thinking grass like a normal grass segment. I'm just a little slow is all. That does kind of suck that grass is stopping bullets.
Best.

Yes it does suck that the nocollision script does not work with some versions.

I am making a stealth game which is why this is VERY important. I try to snipe someone through tall grass and the bullet can't even go through it.
