I have been using a very slow computer for programming, now I am finally getting to use a different one.

Here are my current specs:
300mhz Pentium II
32 MB nVidia GeForce 2 PCI graphics card
192 MB SDRAM

I am getting to use my sister's computer from college for the next year. Specs:

1 Ghz Pentium III
(I just bought a 64 MB nVidia GeForce 4 PCI card)
128 MB SDRAM (I just bought 256 more)

I can't wait to play Need for Speed 6 }:>

That is just for one year. Then....college
I will be buying an Alienware!

I already tried NFS6 out. It is called Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2. I played it on her computer when it had the integrated graphics, but it was too slow and looked to crappy to enjoy. Now it will be fun.

nooooo, you seriously do not wanna buy alienware i can build a better spec machine for half the price of an alienware, you should go to a large independant retailer and have one custom built better and cheaper!

The Need for Speed on the 3D0 is the only reason that stopped me crying after wasting £400 on a Panasonic 3D0 FZ1 (Was best looking console ever though!)

Funny that 3DO dosen't try to sue, or vice versa... that console may be older, but hey...

Funny to think that something that huge dosen't have a scrap of the power that an average notebook PC does

lcfcfan, you're definitly right. It's almost always cheaper to build your own cpu, if you know where to shop around, and buy when prices fall.
