While many of who do have steam on their computers probably know about this, here's a link and an excerpt from the article:
Quote: "Valve today announced the availability of five leading Source MODs (game modifications built atop Valve's leading engine technology). The initial set of MODs offered via Steam are available free of charge for owners of any Source-based game."

Anyone here tried a few of them yet? I know there are quite a few people who have steam so I was wondering what you guys thought of 'em all. I myself have tried Age of Chivalry, Synergy, and Insurgency and am downloading DIP RIP right now. I though Age of Chivalry was kind of fun overall, although the melee is a little hard to get used to and shooting with a bow accurately can be a pain to. Synergy was a little weird, the one game I did play lagged horribly but I'm sure there's more to it than I've discovered so far. Insurgency was quite a bit of fun too, it's kind of like America's Army (i think that's what it's called) without a crosshair and going for a more realistic approach to warfare. I hope to get into D.I.P. R.I.P. pretty soon, but I've got a bit of homework that is currently in the way. So what do you guys think about these new mods?
