"One Man. That is all I require. One Elite who is willing to risk everything for one thing: Wealth. If you find killing your trade in life, travel to the Warehouses Near the Docks. Come packing, as you will need to Eliminate the others who also wish to undertake my task. Earn my Trust in blood"
-Respectfully,
The Overseer.....

The Overseer is an Action/Puzzle Game I'm created focusing around one major infiltration on a secret Military-Run Lab. You Play as a nameless Mercenary who is selected to undergo this task. All your guidance is through the Overseer, who sends you messages after/before each level. He will guide you through the task he wishes you to accomplish inside the base. Your Reward is Cash, plain and simple (or is it?)

So far only the "tutorial" is nearing completion. It is the first part where you need to eliminate the other mercenaries to you can receive the task from the Overseer. The design is unlike many of the later levels, as they will be more tech-like, but this is in alleys and storehouses.

The level so far is very short and simple but it introduces you to combat (not many puzzles though). I have taken some early screenshots of the level design but don't expect the rest of the game to look as grunge-like.

The game uses MP 5 Weapons and various Characters...The Story will be told by the events in-game and narrated by the Overseer in loading times.

Small Spoiler....

The Demo I will post will first be of The Tutorial, and later of a more fitting level

Here are some early screenshots... C&C welcome

One suggestion. Make sure your content makes sense. Don't put a construction or work light in an area with no construction or work being done. Make sure that crates go in rooms where it's obvious that it's either a storage area, or a loading dock. I know a lot of times I put things in a room just because they look good. Or just because I need something in there. But it's making it look real that makes the difference. I love the way Half Life always has clutter and garbage lying about. The world really is very messy.

Well, the worklights set up in the Underground area are sensible (imo) because there is some construction tools around (maybe just not shown in the screens). The crates are there bc its a storeroom but I know what ur getting at, and I'll try to avoid placing items in unrealistic fashion

ty for the advice

I don't know why, but i really like this game. I don't say that straight out very often, but I think it's cos I liked the story. You've written a very good, catchy storyline. Perhaps yes, it's a little generic, but you've sold it to me. So well done on that.

I don't quite know what came over me... hmm, yeh, the screens are nice, I'd consider brightening them up a bit those. Perhaps add dashes or red in those yellow areas. More entities to add those little details would be great too.

I like the idea of the tutorial level where you kill the other mercs. I hope there are lots of other little nifty ideas throughout the game.

Keep it up!

Maybe I'll add like a red warning Light for some hazardous area or something, good idea.

Level 2 has started, but none of the rooms are really full enough to show yet, hope to get them up soon though! I'm also working on the slick dialogue for the Overseer on the loading screen to level 2.You will meet one of The Overseer's "contacts" that will help you infiltrate the base.
