Contact Lee! (Isn't that what you're supposed to do?)

Anyways, here is the famous quote:

By the way, it originated here. It seems as though 60[] has made a phenomenon.

How is this a pointless question if someone wants to use this command, but is unsure how? They look it up and sees two different ones. That could create confusion.

@Maindric

There are actually two ways in which FTP GET FILE functions. The basic way is just to copy a file from ftp to your local directory and let DarkBASIC handle the rate of transfer.

The other method is assigning a number of bytes to grab by setting GrabInBits flag to the number of bytes you want to download at a time. In order for this method to work, you have to call FTP PROCEED to get the next chunk of the file (after having initially called FTP GET FILE ftp filename$,local filename$,GrabInBits)

There are two entries in the help becasue the functioning is a bit different. I can see where it's confusing.

Enjoy your day.

Alright, that is all I wanted to know, more out of curiosity. I figured it had 2 different functions, but I was just conferming with the community.

Hm.. So when I am curious, a thread gets locked, but when Latch comes, it is Okee Dokee? I see how you are!

*On Topic*

Uh, well, seeing as the question is answered, there should not be much more here unless someone else has something to add, sooo, yeah.

I think it has more to do with how you worded your question. It kinda comes off like the posts that read something like: "Help, Dark Basic keeps giving me an error message. How do I fix it?" It's just a bit too generic. I wouldn't have responded until I read:

Quote: "How is this a pointless question if someone wants to use this command, but is unsure how? They look it up and sees two different ones. That could create confusion."

So I think it's important that one trys to ask the question they really need the answer to and be specific or people will respond the way they did.

Enjoy your day.

Ok, I see what you are saying. I assumed that just asking why there are two entries would be sufficient, but apparently not. *Shrugs* Of to go back to my current project.
