Here is the latest from me and Demonware, an all-purpose segment pack W.I.P, currently we have 7 floors and 8 walls shown in the picture but when the pack is complete we expect 20 floors and 20 walls. We are currently not sure on price but something in the region of $4-6 USD. Please tell us what you think of it...

The textures are bad, no offense mate, but they look like they were drawn in Paint......

Try blending them with a metal texture, (a royalty free one mind), and then add grunge, and make sure they're seamless......

I'm glad to see that for once you DID make your own textures from scratch, and did a beginner job of it.

Keep it up.

(That's a good thing)

but you still think people should pay for it ?
the first thing to do is read some tutorials on texturing ,then make a few free ones then give them away ,let people see what your work is like ,then when you get better at it then maybe try selling them .

cheers henry

ok, mabe we will lower the price or even give it away, but we are planning to have 20 floors and 20 wall segments and it deserves something
@game maker: your boat pack is no more than primitives stuck together.

Give the segments away. They aren't worth buying.
I'm not being cruel.I'm just being honest. If you keep practicing and get better at it then you can sell what you make.
And,as was stated before, congratulations on doing it yourself.
Effort will keep you going in the right direction.
Not bad for a first attempt.

They are not bad for your first textures.

If you want to sell them thats fine.
But i agree with Fred.. try to make more textures.
A lot of variations, try to practice in that area.
And in time, they should look how you want them to look.

it is made of some primitives but ive *modified* them and i think it looks good,
anyways frankie, i only made it to show i could do it faster and to a higher standard than a block with polygons moved, and insetted then extruded etc etc....

*shifty look*:

http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&q=concrete+texture&btnG=Search+Images&gbv=2

remember, I didn't give you that link, and you musn't copy those textures into your paint program, desaturate them, fiddle with the levels, then set the blend mode to overlay, after fiddling with the edges to make them tile ofc. Oh, and certainly don't overlay multiple ones to make it look even better.

Looks nice! But to improve your textures you should have made as CG and the other guy said (you are on the other page other guy, cant remember your name ) and aplied a layer from maybe CG Textures. This is your texture from the latest pic with 2 layers aplied:

Keep working on those textures, they get better and better as your making them. One thing I will say is try to grungify them a little bit, anything man-made is never perfect

Unless its a pie, thats pretty much perfect...
