Everyone I know gets a game either by borrowing it or downloading it... Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one left in the world who saves up money just so I can get the game I want... :/
But, IMO, Guitar Hero and Rock Band sort of made a good way of anti-piracy in a sense -- it's no fun without the guitar! Can't download that.
EDIT - What I mean is that if a game requires hardware, or a game IS hardware (For example, an arcade game), then it's not worth pirating. The only time I'd consider it justifiable is when someone's disc broke. I'll admit that I downloaded a PS1 game recently. My disc was broken, I accidently stepped on it >_< -- Is it wrong? My disc broke, I recently bought it, should I buy it again? It's not even current! The game developers/publishers wouldn't make any money off of it anyways - it'd have to be bought used. And in that event, it'd most likely freeze. So I downloaded the ISO and am playing it with my PS1 emulator. Is that wrong? I think not.
But when you download a game that is currently in circulation - or, if you download a game you do not own or did not shell money out for - then that is wrong. The publishers/developers don't make any money off of it. This is one reason why I think development for a game can be so expensive (Clearly there are many more factors though - I'm sure Jeku has extensive knowledge on this).
Anyways, what I'm trying to say is this - don't cheat someone out of earning what they deserve. The developers have mouths to feed, most likely a few besides their own. They have their own lives too. And if some of them are rich, then whatever, they're rich, but that's not an excuse - they're money will run out eventually if they don't get any form of income. It's wrong to pirate anything that the developers or publishers would make money off of otherwise.
For example, I don't think it's wrong to download certain NES games. I for one, own Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 3. They work great, but sometimes I'd prefer to play them on the computer - which adds the benefit of hacked ROMs. How else would this be accomplished?
HOWEVER, that was speaking from an entirely moral stand point.... Legally - It's wrong. If you're religious, you've committed a sin - probably.
I'm not noob slapped am I?

I'm not a dictator to those that do stuff for me by will. Only those who don't.
