All I can say about the movie is...

It was predictable, almost as if there wasn't even a plot to the movie. Boring throughout most of the beginning, and the few scenes of action weren't the best or most realistic either. The whole Valkyrie thing... well...

I didn't even know it was out yet. But then I remembered the Americans get everything 100 years before everybody else (at half the price)

To be honest, from the trailers and the general fact that no game->movie has ever been any good. I was going to give it a miss.

If you haven't seen Tropic Thunder though... That is pretty good!

Australian gamer railed on it. Doesn't sound very good at all

That said, since that game was so damn hard I couldn't get into it, I'll be able to watch with a subjective eye If I watch it, anyways.

I actually liked it.

I played max payne a loooong time ago straight thru and loved the game, i didnt remember the story line to much, but im pretty sure they revamped the whole thing. the shouldve used bullet time too

and yeah, it was predictable lol, but i still thought it was pretty cool, and i think mark wahlberg did a pretty good job. I think it could have been longer though, and it seemed like mona's character was just kindof thrown in there, but idk.

and yeah tropic thunder was THE FUNNIEST MOVIE i have seen in years.

I'll see it when it comes onto Sky movies.
Still don't understand why they got Marky Mark to play Payne anyway...

Ouch, that was the *worst* comedy I've seen this year so far. It was so bad, my wife and I were going to walk out.

I don't think it was THAT bad. Cruise's bit at the end however was quite amusing. I think mostly because I didn't expect that role from him.

Well people's humour levels are set differently. I will never see another Epic Movie, Scary Movie, or anything in that vain. In Tropic Thunder Jack Black annoyed me to no end--- he wrecked the movie for me, and I used to be a fan of his.

Have to agree with Jeku on this, I didn't enjoy Tropic Thunder at all. Didn't find it funny, and didn't think much of the story either.

All the Epic Movie movies are possibly the worst movies ever made. Scary Movie 1 and 2 I thought were funny but then it just went straight downhill.

And I do agree on the Jack Black part. He was pretty annoying. Though he did have one line that made me laugh so hard I almost pulled a stomach muscle lol.

Yeh, Scary Movie 1 and 2 were funny, then they kept milking and got 3 and 4, which were pretty bad, then Date Movie, which was meh at best, then more milking produced the atrocities to film that are Disaster Movie, Superhero Movie, and Epic Movie....

They gotta stop!

Tropic Thunder probably was the best comedy I've seen in decades - as far as I'm concerned right up there with others of the best satirical comedies like Airplane! and Naked Gun.

Based on all the poor reviews, regardless of how well I thought the previews looked, I skipped Max Payne last night and saw Body of Lies instead. Dicaprio's character reminded me of the same guy he played in Blood Diamond(which was a good movie). Overall the movie was rather boring. I give it a C-.

I would like to see Tropic Thunder, but I'm more of a Judd Apatow fan myself,(Judd Apatow made Knocked Up, 40yr old virgin, Step Brothers etc.) Step Brothers was funny, it made me laugh alot I was laughing so much I could feel my stomach getting more tense.lol Edit: Actually saying that I'm more into the comedies based around real situations things we can all relate to.

Edit: Quite a long time edit: But I must say, if you want a Max Payne-esque film, watch Death Sentence by the Director of Saw, its a great film, and its based on a revenge idea.
