hi every1
am trying to program a smart AI, everything is going fine but there's one problem, if the AI is shot from a distance further than it's range it just stand still and do nothing, is there a way to make it approach player to minimum shooting range (not specified value), or maybe make it run to find cover till player approaches?

FYI am not askin for the code to move him closer to the player, am askin how to do so when the player hits him from long distance cause :state=0,shotdamage=1:rotatetoplr,state=2 (where state2 kills) doesn't work on long distances.. TY

srry for multiposting but i just found out that shotdamage=X only works if the AI is facing the player, is there any way to make any action if the AI was hit from behind at large distance?

Try giving your enemy the "Always Active = Yes" property. Perhaps his AI is not being triggered because of the long distance... this ca be countered by telling him to always be active.
