I can find any thing so I though I would ask you all. Does any one know of a program that will convert TGA file to PNG file and maintain the alpha channel. I have found programs but they all lose the transparency.

thanks

Probably you could use Gimp? I dunno what formats it supports, but it does support alpha channels.

http://media-convert.com/
can convert from TGA to PNG (amongst many other things), I'm not sure if it keeps the alpha though.

thanks every one.

I used DDS Converter 2 and it worked like a charm, gimp did open the file but lost the alpha so I suggest any one who ever has the same problem to use DDS Converter 2.

Paint.net can do it, and save its alpha.

Why use all these pointless programs for just conversion? Make your own with DBPro (You can even download the trial to do it if you don't own DBPro).

Cheers,

I will make my own dbp program now that you have pointed out that I can do it. It should work better as I can make it just do a whole directory in one shot all fast and clean like.
