Being a poor student, i don't want to cough up the funds of buying an shower radio, and i'm going to try every damned possible workaround using what i already have: a laptop and phone.

my phone doesn't support WLAN so shoutcasting over the house's wifi wont work, however, both my phone and laptop support bluetooth. Does ANYONE know of ANY WAY to get audio streaming from my laptop, whether it's a WMP, winamp or itunes plugin, or a separate app altogether, and also a software to install on the phone for receiving the streaming audio (and playing it)?

I searched google, and while i came across many leads, they all lead to broken links or obsolete software, so im fairly sure there must be a method of doing this, but just not well documented.

I think the limiting factor here is the features of the phone. Which phone is it?

This is just so you can have music in the shower? Why a phone then? The sound quality on most phones is pathetic for music, just plug your laptop in the bathroom.

Or get one of those water protective cases for the iPod (If you have one, I'm sure there are for others as well). Although it may be annoying carrying it around in the shower.

Get one of those Maplin/Radio Shack 30W amplifiers and hack it into your laptop's audio system...

You'll only get ten minutes before the speaker diaphragm is launched into a low orbit. But you'll be able to hear it in China.

Actually, I think that if you use BlueSoleil on your PC it is an available option if your phone supports it. Do mind, however, that when that specific function is activated that your phone also works as microphone for your laptop.

My tip: Shut down Skype before taking a shower.
