I am creating a game called "The Shadows". As u pass through the game, you will know why its called like that.

Storyline -EDITED-:

You are Jason Riels. You have been frozen in a cryochamber for over 100 years. You have just gotten unfrozen to find out almost half of human-kind has been turned into zombies, 25% have been killed, and a group called the S A S have come to kill you because you have bombed their HQ. After you bombed it, you went into hiding and cryogenicaly froze yourself. As you unfreeze, you've been frozen for SO LONG you don't remember a thing.

A man named -still don't know it- has contacted you saying he has been kidnapped by the S A S , TRAP :o

As you find out he is actually a PART of the S A S, YOU join the S A S by mostly force. havoc breaks loose on your first mission as a S A S member. That is when the real mystery begins. The mystery of SHADOWS.

Level Completion:

Arrival ???%

Lab Crab ???%

Scientist Outpost ???%

Escape from underground! ???%

Zombies Attack! ???%

Liliac City ???%

S A S Regroup ???%

S A S Basement ???%

To The Outpost! ???%

Wait that story sounds wrong.

You wake up after being frozen for 100 and the SAS try to kill you.
Some weird named guy who you don't even know says he's been kidnapped by the SAS(what?)
Then you find out he is on the SAS team and not getting kidnapped.
Then YOU'RE on the SAS team all of a sudden and all hell breaks loose?

I'm already confused just reading that.

hmm, sounds fun, but...

story could use quite a bit of work, as kerrby stated

and...LIGHTING!! this game would look even better if you would add in some lights, prolly editing the range to something between 150-300 (depending on size of the room)

other than that looks good so far, sounds like youve been working hard

The screens look poor atm as there is no lighting... If your making the game partly horror then this is inexcusable. Lighting is a must...

Also the story needs ALOT of work. The SAS? That stands for Special Air Services... It's a special forces regiment in the British armed forces :s I think you need a name change there.

And change the name of the guy. I can't read it even with pronunciation.

EDIT:

Ive played the demo and it needs work... lots of it.

I'm going to be harsh, mainly cos you have a stream of "100%" completes up there. I have to say the 3 levels I played are far from it.

The first level began with a voice? I dunno what it was, I couldn't hear it at all. The horror ambience was far too loud or the voice was too quiet. The first thing I saw was a nice... empty... corridor. Hmm, first impression: Not so good. The segments were stock, the lighting was generic and there were no light sources?

Next I go into the room. It's a large room with about 3 entities in it. Same, white, generic lighting and segments. At this point I have no idea what I'm doing. I pick up 900 rounds of ammo for the pistol!? And then I find out that theres a destructible wall back at the start. This wasn't a good puzzle. It was just annoying. Also the next door I came too was off its hinges and slide vertically across the floor. Hmm. The level ended extremely abruptly. I think the first level was really just to show off pivet animation...

I really don't need to tell you about level 2 as it was exactly the same as level 1. Looks like you went crazy with the segment tool lol.

And level 3 was the same. Some random entities and decals dotted here and there. Was your game properly tested? I got mass collision and I decided to jump down and kill the fat zombies. No way back up... End of game.

If this was just a casual game I wouldn't be as harsh. But the fact you want people to buy this in its current state is silly. I could rustle up what I saw in about 15 minutes tops. And it's going to have 30 levels :S

It needs ALOT of work. Look at the games on this showcase that AREN'T commercial and tell me yours is better than them. Get some guides on lighting and level design, get some custom media, download gimp (free graphics program) and make your own stuff aswell. Last thing is that there was very little story in any of that. I didn't know a thing about what was happening etc etc.

Maybe you stole something from the special air services, like a bicycle, or a sewage pipe.

As for the screenshots - I will be harsh too, its not bad, and you should not stop, but it does need a lot of work. Lighting, a larger variety of entities, and different segments.

Try searching "free", and download some stuff.

Or maybe you stole their barbie doll and they want it back? Lol.

But I think a better idea would be: you're a terrorist, you stole some of the SAS's weapons and now the SAS wants to kill you...?

But you're on the SAS team and have to kill zombies because a random guy got kidnapped by your future team but you find out he wasn't kidnapped so they are still after you but you join the SAS for no reason. Your story makes no sense Game Maker.

sorry, gone cause school. Well anyway this is my first game to be created so I dunno much. I am trying my best. I have edited a lot since I made the first demo but I don't think a good whole lot. I am making a new story line soon. This is how the S A S DOES want to kill you for.

Jason , you , before was cryofrozen had bombed the S A S HQ site and in the process went into hiding. The long freeze shortened Jason's memory so you don't remember much.

Thats mostly why. I do need some help on these things though:

Animated Cutscenes
Voice Overs
Scenery ON FPSC

I took a screenshot of lvl 9 just before I put lighting. I take tests always first then I do lighting. If you'de like to help you could. I am a "sorta" beginner at FPSC. I have been using it for over 5 months but still don't know much.

Please help if u can. I don't know, can I send the "level" as a FPSC level file? If so, feel free to help

I took the screenshot as I was building lvl 9 so I didn't put lighting yet but I always do. Just not as good for hallways and tricky stuff...
