Really nice. How about a tutorial for those 5 stages. How many layers involved, texture references, which effects used etc.

Would be really appreciated as I'm still trying to get passed 2 layers at the moment.

If you make a tut, that would be awesome!

Nice textures too. It looks like you did something along the lines of render clouds and then sponge for the first stage?

do you only have smooth metal down there in oz ? here in the uk we have a lot of rain so metal gets very rough lol

I think it looks good but there's something about the way you've painted in the specularity and dark tones which makes the top portion of the last two images look like leather more than metal.

ahah yeah i guess so, we dont get as much rain here thats probaly why. They weather here is to humid. the metal here usually retains its smoothness and shinyness, unless i go to an old car yard, i might be able to find some rough metal.

Henry, I did use a few of your textures and I want to make sure you're ok with that. I did state that the textures I used were made by you but I just want your full approval cause I don't want to steal your work. No matter how awesome it is.
Here is where I used them.
Hope your ok with that and again, great job on this texture.

Thanks for the tutorial it's going to help me a lot.

If you have time to continue it for the other stages of your metal texture that would be great but this is already helpful.

Made a room out of it. It's really cool. Will be included in my GIANT Pack. http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=139618&b=24&p=0
I'll post a pic of it soon.
