I created a small simple entity using Sketchup and the DirectX Exporter. However, when I try to put it in game it does not show up.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
I have included the following in the Zip

wall_entity.x
wall_entity.fpe
wall_entity.jpg
wall_entity.bmp (thumb nail)
wall_entity_test.fpm
wall_entity.skp

I have also included the sketchup

Is it invisible or did it not load at all? If it's invisible it's usually because your texture is in the wrong place and fpsc can't find it.

Also, I've never heard of anyone using a bmp for a texture. Try changing it to a jpg. And make sure no colors in the texture are rbg 0,0,0 (black) True black is invisible in fpsc.

Uthink,

Sorry I meant to put .jpg as the texture name, (it is changed in the original post).
It finds the model and loads it (I can run into it) but I just cannot see it.

I did skip the step of using Entity Workshop to import then export the model as I am having an issue with that. When I try to export the model it gives me an error run time.
Runtime Error 500 - Unknown Image Error at line 749

I am using Vista, and I have given full administrator options to Entity Workshop. Perhaps if I can get it running, it will solve the issue.

That's probably because your image is corrupt.
I would try regenerating it. What did you create it with?

The skin is just a random texture I pulled off of a Google Image search for testing.

Dimensions: 256x256

Try making it 1024x1024. And saving it again. There could still be something funky embedded in the image. And I don't know how X10 does with images that small.

Don't know if that will help. Just guessing here. But I've never
worked with anything smaller than 1024 in X10.

I will give that a try tonight.
Thanks Uthink
