Hey,

At this place you can question your questions aboute creating and making textures with photoshop cs2. I' m trying to create a 100+ segment pack with a lot of textures with lightmaps but i still have some problems.

So my question is: My alpha channel should me white as prescipted in the totorial but mine is black, does anywone know how to change that?

If you want all white (no alpha), Select the channel and fill with white paint bucket or ctrl+i if it is all black or simply delete the alpha channel.

As long as you save your .dds in a format which does not support alpha, it does not matter what the channel contents are.

Why do i need to make one then... i' m a bit confused
Because in the totoial they say:

Quote: "Open a diffuse texture in Photoshop to be used as a segment floor, wall or ceiling. In the bottom right corner panel select the ‘Channels’ tab and select icon ‘Create new channel’ to create an alpha channel for your texture as shown below. The alpha channel should be white (see section 6 for changing channel properties"

I was thinking that that was the probleme, because when i created a segment with firma it didn' t show up in X10...

Since its a jpg you use in Firma (I guess) it wont need an alpha. Only make sure that you dont use the pure black 0,0,0
