If you would like to see an example of the Updater running, then go to the following URL : http://www.nickk.nildram.co.uk/TestDownload/TestProgram.exe and download the file somewhere (it must be saved and then ran - not directly opened).
Follow the instructions to update the program...

The updated version is around 4.19Mb (it includes several of my songs), whist the original is around 800Kb

Thats true - I change the installer and updated program after doing the post.

I've only really got a bit more error checking to add, and thats about it really. But until I get my new computers, it wont be going on my web site.

What may be needed at a later date is a security system (so the downloaded program(s) is what it says it is).

I'll be sticking the TestProgram #1 & #2 code in the Code Snippets section later (for those interested).

What might be useful (at some point) is the ability to download a file from one of an alternate set of web sites (so if one goes down, you've got another). Unfortunately security would have to be beefed for this.
