FredP, I haven't ran into that.

Is it every segment that does that?

Have you checked that your graphic card drivers are up to date?

I am running a Geforce 8600 GTS with the latest drivers (Checked in Nov) and I haven't ran into that problem.

I just installed the latest drivers a few minutes before taking that shot.It happens any time I get far enough from something.
This happens with any entity,segment,etc.

I have the same issue.

Apparently it is a problem with 'Mip Mapping'.

I have an Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTX 768MB memory card - that apparently doesn't support Mip Mapping!

This problem happens with custom textures that I have made via Entity Maker and the 'FPSC X10 - Texture Tutorial (Seamless Diffuse, Normal and Specular)' tutorial.

I have posted a request for help but found little. (Thanks Nomad and Satchmo for the help you did give me)

I feel your pain.

Please help.

All is appreciated.

Thanks

Well I get a transparent segment with the Scifi duct's, can see right threw them, like walking in mid air.

Hmm, I don't have that issue. But I have only build inside levels. Have not tried one outside yet.

HI FredP,
Just wondering if there is some way of emulating mipmapping? I also have this problem.

I get this problem as well. Some textures are atrocious (they go all funny when you're more than about a segment away.) I'll get a few screens up in a minute.

I get this problem too but not in all cases and thought it was yet another ATI driver related problem but appears some of you have the problem with Nvidia cards.

I'll look into this and post any useful findings.
