FPS Creator X10 / New Game missing?

Guys.....i feel a complete noob asking all these questions but...

On this new version of X10, when i create a really simple level, add in a player marker, a character entity and a blue light....oh, and of course a few segments....i build the game as a single player, leave all the other defaults as they are.

Save the game of course.....now...when i run the exe file that i have just saved, the title screen appears with just the following: (see attached)

No option to start the game?

WHERE or WHAT am I doing wrong?....its the same procedures i would use for the 2d version.

Lol UK Watch Yer Back, I feel your pain, I have the same problem too. Dunno why it's happening or how to solve it.

KNOB, as in doorknob? If you meant noob, well...rakker's been around a month more than you have so...

Naw rakker, it's a bug or something with X10. In the build settings it shows up normal, yet this happens. I didn't even change the build settings and it still happened.... I think (think because i didn't try building a game until recently) it might have something to do with uninstalling X10. I only noticed this problem after I uninstalled it and reinstalled it after messing around with the files too much...

Surely....the software is FAULTY and I may have to ask for my money back.

My NEW PC (bought 2 days ago) was because of this software. Vista 64bit, quad core PC....and for what?....a bug in the software????

COME ON GUYS....if someone KNOWS how to get this sorted, I and Jingle Fett....will be VERY HAPPY.

well, there are still a few bugs in X10. Lee is fixing X9 up and then he'll focus on X10...in the meantime you can do what I'm doing: work on your game so that when the problem is solved, your game is fully ready to go.

That's why the problem doesn't bother me too much just as long as it's solved eventually. My game's a looong way from being done...

Try these steps:

1/. Go to '<path to FPSCX10>\files\languagebank\english\gamecore\backdrops\basic'
2/. Copy 'NewGame.png' to '<your built game folder>\files\gamecore\backdrops\basic'

Sorry.....in the following folder:

FPSCX10>\languagebank\english\gamecore\backdrops\ there is ONLY a readme file.

Your link:

FPSCX10>\files\languagebank\english\gamecore\backdrops\basic is NOT like mine....I dont have a FILES folder and I dont have a BASIC folder as per your link above.

Can you advise please?

I also just did a search for NewGame.png in the FPSCX10 folder.....no such file ??

Sorry for the questions....am sure this will be resolved with your help
