Hey guys.

I haven´t bought fpsc yet. But I´ve seen some vids on youtube.
But when I first se how bad A.I. But it looks like the enemies got a very bad A.I. Is it posible to fix this problem so it doesnt look so retarded?

example of prob here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BxkVdULP7Ys

I didn´t mean that froggy shoot out is bad. But the A.I. of the
frogs with guns doesn´t look that hard to kill

I never learn -_-

There is some pretty intense AI available. That game was designed forchildren, I think, so AI wasn't needed to be brutal....

Phoenix, Strafe10, Snipe10's pretty good.....

You gotta place your enemies, then give them the right scripts to suit their situation......

I´m soon gonna post a storyboard of my game. Screenshots and demos comes in around a half year, Be cause I haven´t bought it yet
But what do you recomend the most? Fpsc X10 or X9?

X9, most people can't handle x10 and most the model packs and gcs stuff doesn't work either.

Yeah, but X10 comes with Dark AI integrated. The AI in X10 is much better by default than X9 because of that. I'd recommend X10 if you're going for the high-end visuals and all that. You can get that in X9 via mods and stuff, but mods are third-party, you have to download them seperately.
Besides, the model packs will all work soon enough...

H.K.

Did I miss something in a news letter about selling finished games in the TGC store? It would kind of make sense but I thought it was for media only.

Not very advisable. In orrder to have something to show for your game it is required to have an ingame screenshot before you post. So you may want to hold off on that till you get some of it done first.

Ok, I get it. But now when we found out it´s gonna go ok. I´m gonna get it for Xmas And another question: When you go on the character settings in the editor. There is some done scripts u can put in on ur character. Or is it best to put custom scripts on it?

Although the correct answer is "It depends on the situation", the best answer is "It is always better to use custom scripts".

All joking aside, it really does depend on your familiarity with scripting, and how good you are at it. Of course, you only get better by doing it, but I digress. And while there are a ton of really good scripts out there, you will always find that you are needing to tweak this line here, or update that line there.

Yeah, know... I´m a noob at scripting right now. But meaby I sould experiment with it a little bit. So I can understand what that does what. But can I come with a example and u guys can answer how this commando is in fpi scripts k?

like: You walk in a door and get into a room. Then u are in the center of the room(use a trigger zone) And to enemys with machineguns comes out from the door on the other side of the room( The door u havent went in. And they begin to shoot when they get in.

I never learn -_-

The Antimatter script is good, but it's better if you use it on enemies in wide rooms, otherwise they might just walk along the walls and not even notice you until you shoot them. At least thats what happens to me.
