Well, I loaded the image with the correct commands and it gave me a black screen. Yes I'm sure I have the directory correct.

thats correct, all you have done is put in memory now to make it show there two ways.

1. as a sprite

sprite 1,x,y,imagenumber

or

2. as paste image.

paste image imagenumber,x,y

Dark Physics makes any hot drink go cold.
