Alright, I have a problem when creating blood overlays. I have the awesome texture (256x256, .tga) and the standard flat plane used in the stock blood splatter. When I make the .fpe and such with the right texture, the .fpe looks fine. Well, then I place it in the editor and I see 3 red distortions. In-game, it gets better, but I want the player to see the detail.

Any help?

How do you mean 3 red distortions?
I'm not sure what the problem is and looking at the picture it does'nt really look wrong either apart from that the marks are fading out less in-game.

Red Distortions are referring to the red dots of the texture.

The problem is that there are no details; no alpha apart from 100 and 0%.

I want it to look like it does in Milkshape.

I've been searching through the forums and I haven't seen a single overlay that has the detail I want.

Whatever, I'll deal without it, but if anyone finds a solution, I won't argue.

It's FPSC, it's alpha rendering is awful, to be honest....

Gawd, I wish I could say that for everyone's problems here.

"Why do you have to be such a troll?"
"It's FPSC, what do you expect?"

It depends on the version of FPSC you're using. Some versions like (I think) 1.03 or 1.04 had good blending. Somewhere along the line, something broke resulting in alpha getting clamped to 1 bit.

Yeah, I'm not about to revert to 1.03 for better looking blood, so I'll keep with my stuff I got now. It works.

Thanks, over and out,
