Hey guys, it's been a while.

Quick question. In a game I'm making, I wanted to walk down a hallway and have a zombie drop from the ceiling, land on the floor, get up, and move towards and attack the player.

I placed Bond1's HL2 dead zombie (the one that acts as if it's dead but attacks if you get close) up near the ceiling, and I added a trigger zone that triggered the zombie.

Unfortunately, it didn't drop down. The only zombies I could get to drop from the ceiling were regular ones, but it just didn't look right for 'em to land on their feet. I was hoping for it to fall flat on it's face, and get up and attack me.

Any help? Thanks in advance!

It sounds like you need to ...
1) Open the character's x file and create a custom animation .
2) Edit the character's FPE file to include your newly added custom animation.
3) Write an FPI script to call that animation when the player gets close enough to trigger it.

You might try using that scientist zombie, since he starts in a lying down position and gets up to come at you.
That would save you from doing steps 1 and 2.

Bond1 released a zombie that starts on the ground and gets up when you get close to it, though it's obviously non commercial because it's the hl2 zombie, it can be found on fps-files i believe?

Yeah, that's the zombie that I'm talking about. He does start on his stomach, but he floats in the air and doesn't fall down until I get close enough for him to get up.

I tried the dead zombie scientist, and he does the exact same thing. I may have to create some form of custom animation...

Any other ideas?

Just edit the script, I'm sure it uses something like appearnogravity. If you post it here i'll take a look

Nope, there isn't anything to do with gravity. Physics are on, he's not immobile, and there is nothing in the script with "appearnogravity"...

I'm really quite stumped.
