Hi guys,

I have finally got round to start making some sound FX which I kept going on about for some time finally I fired on the older pc I have with FL Studio and got the thinking cap on.

I have created 20 sound FX so far and placed them on my homepage at http://www.techville.co.uk where you can listen to them and download them for free.

I also have a website to link to if you need them converted quickly and easily to .ogg format or any other format you require, if you need this pm me a message and I will send you the link.

The "Music & SFX" section of my website will be updated as I create more sounds and tunes. I am also currently working on a free song called "Heaven in your eyes" which you can also use if you don't already know you can download from an ever growing range of tunes and songs for your games also free on my site.

Over next few days new Sound FX will be created and it will be given its own section on my website.

Check them out at present let me know what you think and give me some ideas for sounds you want to hear like e.g. "Door Slam" "Gunshot" that kinda thing or snippets of music in a certain genre like horror, suspense, aciton etc.

Thanks, all that is required to use the items in your games is a credit to me thanks. Heres list in pic of whats available at the mo.

Did the MP3 License change, or did you bother to read it?

MP3 format is proprietary, and the license used to charge you ROYALTY and LICENSE FEES in order to distribute any files in that format.

Use OGG Vorbis instead of MP3, it's free and free to use.

Yeah the SOFTWARE that is used to encode and decode in mp3 format must be licenced to which mine is one for example is FL Studio I use (Fruity Loops Edition) which is fully licenced and I would like to think so for the price I paid for it yes I have read the documentation on it and licencing of products made with the software....did you read it? Take a look at http://flstudio.image-line.com/

The Ejay products I use in my music etc are licenced for .wav export and I used a licenced media converter called Media Converter SA edition to convert them into mp3 format.

I think everyone should read on wikipedia the laws, patents and licencing terms regarding mp3 format if at all in doubt at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MP3

Some patents in the US might be dissappearing anyway due to so many people claiming rights to it check it out it says on wiki about it and on the BBC news website.

I think half the worlds population would be guilty of some kind of mp3 term of misuse how many people have for instance downloaded an illegal mp3? I bet theres more than one on your computer already

Lata dudes.

Hi again guys, conjured has given me an idea from his point however I will convert all my songs from mp3 to .ogg format and place them alongside the mp3 format so you can download whicever one you choose.

It will make it easier for people who maybe don't know how to use file converters or online conversion websites which are a bit slow sometimes.

This will also make it compatible with FPS Creator straight away in the .ogg format.
