Hi, I was wondering since Butterfingers is not updating his site and does not have the lytefx right now, does anyone have a decal or sprite (not sure how that works) that would make it appear that there is directional light.

Example, it looks like light is shining through a window? If noone does, maybe a few hints on making one myself...

Thanks a bunch!

It's quite easy, all you have to do is open up your modeler (if you have any) and make the shape you want, delete one face/polygon, invert the rest of them, and give it a completeley transparent texture (a.k.a black), make it into a static entity with no collision and place a light inside it. Hope it works for you!

Best.

Lewis, yes I asked if anyone didn't have one, on hints on how to make one.

Thanks tjaabee, but I don't have great modeling skills. How about something like Paint.net, Photoshop or Gimp, can you make one in there?

I am totally new to decals / sprites...

Thanks

This is a very simple lightray, it is on a plane so will only show from one side you should flip and place a few of these for best effect.
Put the ac.fpi in your scriptbank folder and the remaining files in your entitybank folder.
