I have been thinking about a Space Trading game with Research,exploration,combat etc,that i want to make but the thing i'm worried about is;

1) i don't know how to 3D model stuff like ships etc.

2) i don't know how to do any kind of art like bmp stuff in photoshop or other non 3D modeling programs.

3) will i need to have a lot of other external stuff like a game engine,AI,etc? I'm no where near rich

4) I am not the greatest with math,i only know minus and plus and some multiplications ,i mean i don't know any advanced math like trig,geo,algebra,etc.

5) Story Telling,i have no idea how to do that,my grammar isn't the greatest.

6) Most important,if i ever get this game made will i have to pay any expensive royalties to the makers of DB Pro or its company if i try to sell my game? I ask cause i don't want to get in trouble or have there lawyers knock on my door lol.

I forgot to ask something,are there any programs on this site or a offsite link that could help me make Solar systems,galaxies,star maps etc? Stuff i can buy i mean not have someone make.

Thank you in advance for the help.

1,2,4,5: You'll need to learn. Look for tutorials on the web.
3: Not necessarily, everything can be coded in DBPro. Plugins can make life easier though.
6: No, no royalties at all.

Go to blender, make spheres, texture them and orbit them, then make a sky box. Viola.

hmm but doing that for like 100 or more systems wouldn't that be repetitive?

Are there any commercial products that could help with such a task or no?

Btw im thinking on learning Truespace,is that a good program?

And thank you for the help so far.

for #1 & #2, just use primitives like (cubes, spheres etc...) for placeholders for the time being. This way you can work out all the gameplay/gamelogic, without worrying about how all the media will get done. At the point that you finally need your media, you can enlist some help, learn to model on your own, purchase media etc...

No need to worry right now or get bogged down right out of the gate.
