FPSC Classic Scripts / Dynamic lighting switches off?

Hi there, sorry if this has been asked before.

I'm creating a scene in which you walk through a trigger zone which switches off one set of lights and turns on another (just like in the video tutorial). I have a set of dynamic white lights with the "Light1" script and a set of dynamic red lights with the "Lightoff" script. The effect itself is working, however my white lights switch themselves off when I get too far away from them. Why is this happening? I'm running V13.

try setting always active to one maybe? I dont have the script to look at but I dunno, could be always active, or somethin in the script

DirectX has a limitation on the amount of REAL lights (Dynamic Lights) that can be rendered at one time.

I believe the limitation in FPSC is 6-8 or so. Some of them are reserved by FPSC to be used for illuminating enemies and your gun.


This is no script error, you've just hit a limitation.

Aw :< That's a bit rubbish. I will try setting them to always active though. You never know...

Sadly, I do know. All you need to remember is not to have more than 6 dynamic lights within the player's view at any time and you'll be fine.
