...must be in .x format, and an .fpe file must be created.

Quote: "whats the recommended poly count"

...the mid to high 2K range has worked very well in the past, but there have been very good results with models at/near the 4K mark.

Quote: "texture size"
...512x512 is considered the bare minimum for good results in FPSC. Higher resolutions have been used often, yielding superior results.

Quote: "how do you animate for "

...must be animated in an external 3D application, and the frame data must be incorporated into the model's .fpe file.

Quote: "and is scripting necessary for guns?"

...scripting is required to allow characters to use guns. Fortunately, FPSC provides several different stock shooting scripts, for this purpose. Actually giving the character a weapon is accomplished through the character's Properties Menu.

the stock shooting scripts are for enemies or entities to use the guns not the player. the player requires no scripts to use weapons.

I know not with what weapons WWIII will be fought but WWIV will be fought with sticks and stones-Albert Einstein

...LOL

Where's the player reference? I took this literally to be referring to a character. I didn't even think about a player weapon model...
