Hello everyone. I am new to fps (ex-3dgs). I need some advice. I have been looking at the links and downloads as well as the video tutorials. FPS looks great. I have a few things that I havent found answers to so far. (I may not have looked hard enough yet so take it easy on the replies)

How do I edit the exe so that I have a custom title?

I have downloaded sky box textures but have no clue what to do with them.

I know I cannot use terrain but how do I fake it?

Is there a way to get a 3rd person view?

Thanks in advance.. any help would be great!

You can model your own terrain or download my FPSC ready terrain.

You need to have your skyboxes in a specific naming format in order for them to work in FPSC.
Look in your SKYBANK folder for examples, because that is where your FPSC skybox folders should be placed.
The first thing you will notice is a 3 letter format for naming the folders.
If you use more letters then it won't work.

I made a utility for creating the skybank folders for your custom skybox images using DarkBASIC Professional.
It is free, so you are welcome to use that if you want.
Just search 'ceSky' or look in the media section of my website for the download.
It is a pretty straight forward program and nothing fancy, but it will convert your six images into a proper FPSC skybank folder for you.
Just drop the exe in the folder your images are in to avoid typing a full path for the images.
The instructions are included.

It would be TPSCreator then, because it wouldn't be First Person perspective anymore.
So NO, you need DarkBASIC Professional or the Dark GDK for that. (involves programming)

Actually, you can create a cheap crappy effect of third person, or you can create a believeable effect with Ply's mod
