Um, not to sound like a jerk, but what is the point of this thread? Almost anyone on these forums could do that in 5 seconds. Not very practical "retextures" if you can call them that.

LOL! Good work! But try Gimp or photoshop next time, it will give you a better result.

Honestly he looks like a turdman...

if you want to retexture things, google "gimp" or Paint.net, and try em out. They're much more powerful than paint.

Good efforts so far though man
Always good to keep trying new things as well, so as others have said perhaps try "gimp"?

Cheers!

That is exactly what I was thinking...Mr Hankey!

Yeah get Paint.NET (it's FREE), and then add a few plugins from the forums into your effects folder.
Then you can do things besides basic color fills.
The application has links to tutorials and the forums in its HELP Menu, so be sure to check out the tutorials.
You will learn about LAYERS and OPACITY, and other cool things that will improve your textures.
I recommend Paint.NET over the GIMP because the interface is more like the MicroSoft Paint program, which is easier to use right away since the interface is familiar.

If you don't like what somebody has done, either don't post or offer advice on how they could improve... Everyone has to start somewhere and to just say what someone has done is "crap" and offer nothing useful is not something that is necessary...

Constructive criticism is welcome and can actually help people improve, bashing users is not welcome!

REPLAY MASTER OF TIME,

i am a beginner too lol...

say the robot ai thing in the scifi library?

go to hardrive>program files>the game creators>fpsc>files>entity bank>scifi>characters>ai_1_D2

open it in something that accepts *DDS* files....gimp doesnt i dont know y people say it does.

paint.net is free to download and will work, photoshop and paint

then change it with a big bucket of paint and save changes...make a backup 1st.

when u go in fpsc pick the scifi ai and make sure at bottom once right clicked it says the main texture is "ai_1_D2"

you dont need to change any file to a dif type unless ur making own model and texture from scratch

----------

people never read...to all negitiv comments...this is my very first time doing anything with textures

Welcome to the forums and now I`m gonna be a right ass...

You're Akio texture... Its perfectly... terrible..
Why? it was done in paint,Microsoft paint... And I love paint...
Because its soo easy to flame... Let me tell you this, you're effort in this texture modification is very, very, VEEERRRYYYY, Little..
Infact, I`m suprised you had effort to post it, man, you've got guts...Seriously...

Now onto the blue one, Looks nice, for a low effort job, again, your lacking effort, all you did is cover the howl canvas in blue, in microsoft paint...

The other's, well, there just like a camo texture putted all over them, atleast there was effort in making a camo like texture...

Well, you've got guts, but no effort...
Go make some effort, also you don't need any other tools, in Microsoft paint you can do anything as long as you put you're mind to it...

/Ass'ism.
