Hi, could someone please explain to me the difference between the scripts that are regular vs. have the number 10 after them?

I.E. - which ones are better to use and why there is a 10?

examples in the scriptbank:
strafe vs. strafe10
shoot vs. shoot10
and so on....

Thanks

I'm not sure, but it seems that using the newer versions of FPSC, there is some improvement of the AI for the character. If you set strafe.fpi and strafe10.fpi side by side you will see some differences in the way Lee coded the "10" version. I am not sure if he is using any newer commands or not but I have a feeling this is a continued upgrade towards the eventual migration which is associated with both X9 and X10.

I would say that if you have reverted back to an older version (probably before 1.09) then you should not use the "10" version but the regular version.

Ply may be able to have more to say about this. Even if it is to set me straight.

Then 10 script were added in V1.07...

The only difference between the snipe and snipe10 scripts is an extra line about 4 lines down...

The "10" doesn't seem to mean anything related to FPSCX10. It may have been an idea Lee had to get a jump start on scripting for X10. In general, some people say that the 10 scripts work better than the originals, and at times I have to agree... but then again, I make my own scripts for pretty much everything.

There is a difference between the 10 scripts and the originals... if you open them up side by side in NotePad, I'm sure you'll be able to see the difference.

All in all, I don't know why the name convention was given to them, and we may never find out.
(Unless Lee said something about it somewhere and I missed the party. )
