Yeh, I had forewarned about this influx of noobs having a detrimental effect. The mods need to be quicker to respond to these threads.
I used to be a top mod on a forum where we had a massive problem with people asking silly questions answered in the stickies. Even though they had brightly coloured titles and didn't contain a wall of text. Eventually I pioneered a method of muting people who did this for 3 days, with a short explanation as to why. They got the message in the end.
People who did things like the OP were fewer, but I had to be damn quick to shut them down lest people got their computers infected with something, because naturally that was my fault then.
The fact that the title is so disingenuous should have got this an instant delete regardless.
