This will sound like a stupid question but is there any way to test if a sprite is moving by saying something like dbspritespeed>0 or just anything that will see if it is moving?

Since you are in complete control of how and when it moves, then yes you just test its velocity, if indeed you told it to move by said velocity.

If you want Real time data on your Sprite movements, for example for debugging, you can always refer to the variable and use it in a print/text statement.

For example if you had a sprite using XPOS and YPOS.
