Has anyone other than Butters ever made a cutter? (I have)

Since he is not selling his cutter anymore, then I will fill you in on how I made mine...

That is all the cutter needs to be people... a custom window with and odd shaped X-file for the punch. (whatever shape you want the hole to be)
You make another X-file model for the frame.
I used a tiny tiny sphere (so small you can't notice it) for the frame that I located near the floor.
That way all you see is the hole left by the punch.

You can look at a window hole.fps in C:/Program Files/The Game Creators/FPS Creator/Files/segments/ww2/scenery to see what X meshes to replace.
Start with a copy of that for a basic start and modify, just like you did for your first weapons.

Making a cutter punch segment is not that difficult using the custom window method.

Will the CSG mesh work purely by itself, or will I HAVE to make a tiny tiny sphere?

You will need the sphere.
I recommend you use a simple low-poly plane instead, to save frame rate and poly count.

Yeah, you need a frame to avoid any problems.
Using a low poly plane is a better idea than the sphere Aaagreen. (even a box is better than the sphere-what was I thinking?)
Although, 30 or 40 polys isn't going to change the FPS that much.

So, you or coffeegrunt never told anyone how before Aaagreen?

I didn't say anything before, because I thought it might hurt Butter's sales and make him mad at me.

Not that I know of, but there could be if someone who has tried, or does try, this and gets it to work decides to write one.

It would make for a great tutorial, huh? ( hmmm A Quick Look At Custom Punches )

Hey nice idea. I'm not mad at you dude.

I don't think there is any difficulty in getting cutters to work. I would be mad if you worked out how to do the destoryable bits and sold them!

Why would you be mad if you aren't selling it anymore?
I never got your pack, so I didn't work anything out from it. (I use stock stuff for examples)
I never tried to make things crumble, but that can't be that hard either if a crate can do it.

Butter, I actually found a better way!

I got it to spawn a few broke pieces of the wood when it broke (Just broken up pieces of the model)

worked like a charm

Mine was pretty bad though, it was my first ever model pack though...

An animated model that changes it's frame when shot to look like it's crumbled...

That is, if Red Devil used the same system as you...

So, basically, when it reaches a certain health level, it changes frame until it's fully destroyed, then it turns collision off.

Red Devil's Cutter-Pack does not contain stolen Work or whatever, If I remember right "Model Pack 3" Sounds were in the Archive, but I think that they were removed...

No, Red Devil was just a pirate in general.
