1) Use the mesh of the crossbow's X file to create an entity that assigns that weapon to it in the FPE.
As suggested by Avid, look at an existing weapon's files to see what it going on.
The FPE can be read/edited using NOTEPAD.
This is probably over your head right now though since you are just beginning.
So, I will make a pick up for the crossbow tomorrow if nobody else already has.
2) You need to stick to the basics for your project, so if you want to change anything, just change the background image and sound.
There isn't enough time to learn FPI scripting before your project's deadline, so trying to animate it or anything is wasting what little time you have. (save that for the next game)
3) Same for this one. Keep it simple.
You can replace the stock images with your own, if you do not want to change the paths in the scripts.
Just make sure to rename the stock image so you do not overwrite it.
That is all I did for my first game. Look through the folders until you find it.
You need to explore those files anyway, so you will start to figure out where everything goes. (or read the manual)
HINT - C:/Program Files/The Game Creators/FPS Creator/Files/gamecore/backdrops/basic
4) You simply build the exe. Those instructions are in the manual.
You will need to upgrade from that free version.
Have you bought the upgrade yet, or are you still using the free one?
The sooner you order it, the sooner you can get it.
I just tried checking the price of FPSC and the order form said $49.99
I thought they lowered it to like $19.99 ???
Was I dreaming?
