I was just wondering if anyone from the forums is subscriped to
game developer magazine. Especially anyone from the UK, as that's where the magazine company is based.I'm just wondering if it's worth the 50(USD), for a years subscription, because there really aren't any other magazines specifically towards game design.

(for those of you interested )

Thanks in advance.

I have a subscription to it (free though). It's a good magazine but you will feel slightly cheated out of your money because once you remove the adverts it has a very very small page count. What it does contain is quite informative though, but don't expect to actually learn any tricks of tips from it. It's mostly industry people blowing their own whistles to be honest with the occassional fascinating interview.

Cheers,

Rich

Yeah, $50(or whatever), is a bit much with gamasutra being free.
(as I'm already registered with them. )

I guess I'll just stick to the internet, and buying books from Boarders.(book-store)

Yea, I just put gignews on my favorites. I checked it out when I was reading the topic about shareware games. It's a good find you made there Eddie.
